YAOS Presents > Yeovil Amateur Operatic Society
YAOS produces two shows a year - in March and October - at the acclaimed Octagon Theatre Yeovil in Somerset, which seats over 600 and has one of the largest stages in the South West. The Octagon also has a comfortable Café Bar, where theatre-goers can enjoy a relaxing meal or drink before the show.
YAOS is fortunate in attracting the services of many talented and enthusiastic performers, supported by a dedicated team of back-stage members, willing to devote huge amounts of their own time. YAOS generally appoints professional directors, which is reflected in the high standards achieved and some 20 national awards over the last 25 years. We also continue the tradition of hiring a professional orchestra, sound and lighting crew for every show.
