Welcome to YAOS - live musical entertainment at its best

Octagon Theatre in YeovilYeovil Amateur Operatic Society is one of the foremost live musical production companies in the region and has won over 20 national awards in the last 25 years - more than any other in the West Country.

YAOS produces two shows a year - March and October - at the Octagon Theatre, situated in the centre of Yeovil with adjacent public car parking. The theatre seats 620 and has one of the largest stages in the South West.  The Octagon Theatre also has a Café Bar with a full selection of hot and cold dishes, where theatre-goers can enjoy a relaxing meal or snack before the show, as well as a licensed bar with a large seating area and an outside terrace.

A flow of enthusiastic performers and supporting members, willing to devote huge amounts of their free time, put on an array of dazzling shows.  We generally employ professional directors and this is reflected in the high standards achieved.  We also benefit from the services of a professional orchestra, sound and lighting crew.
